Also a small one to two question quiz could be administered after the notes or upon entering class. This prevents the student from ignoring lectures the night before. Difficulties always come with new ideas, the flipped classroom requires allot of the teacher and of the student, but if both put in the required work and effort it can be an extremely effective teaching method.
