It is strongly shown in the movie. The robots have more humanity than humans. The robots have everyday jobs so they grow traits. Wall-E, for example, is adventurous and curious, he is even a Hufflepuff. He also has a soft spot for EVE. Other robots are not as good-hearted. Having responsibilities and knowing information can make them act in unsuspecting and evil ways. This becomes a problem for the humans. With this responsibility, he gained the knowledge of what Earth used to look like and what it looks like now. The captain pulled himself together to do the right thing and work with Wall-E and EVE to get the plant back to go home. He ended up making some of the biggest decisions in the movie. One of the things included turning off the autopilot to save everyone on the ship. The captain made the decision to tell everyone what was going on, this started to bring people to their senses towards the end of the movie. While the robots are throwing the ship around you see the true colors of other humans too. There is a human, Mary, who save a bunch of babies by her and a man creating a barrier to stop them from falling on the side of the ship.
