More than one-third of adults in the U.S are considered to be obese and technology and how much we humans depend on it plays a large role in that. The movie Wall-e directed By: Andrew stanton displays many social issues in the world but the main ones it showed were obesity due to technology and how it is destroying the world. The movie Wall-E follows a robot that is left on earth alone to clean up the mountains of trash the humans have left behind while we humans fled away on a high-tech spaceship as the unlivable earth gets cleaned up.The movie WALL-E focuses on the overuse of technology and environmental issues that it created. The overuse of technology lead to obesity, laziness, no real communication between people, and humans not realising the damage there doing to themselves and the world.
People became obese and lazy on the ship because they never leave their high-tech hover chairs at all. An example of that is when everyone was hovering on there chair and an advertisement came up on the televisions around them saying “Try red it's the new blue.” and with the press of a button everyone's cloth changed colors from blue to red. Since humans became so lazy and careless they completely destroyed the world and left nothing but mountains of trash. In the beginning of the film you couldn't even recognise the earth there where just mountains of trash and polluted air. There where also no natural resources left on the earth, they all died out and disappeared because the humans left the earth on the high-tech spaceship and neglected them. The government left behind robots to clean up the earth and to move and organise the trash. All of the robots died out except for Wall-E leaving one tiny robot to clean up the whole earth.
