Weeks flew by seeming to go too soon. In those weeks I practiced hard, very hard. I was sure Erin was too, but I’ve been very self absorbed with my own work ethic sometimes I forget Erin was even there. It sounds impossible she’s loud and crazy and funny but she’s been less lively the past few weeks for the same reason I was. Nationals. We had a week left until nationals when, every night I went home and tried to sleep I would have terrible dreams about something very bad happening during the biggest competition of the year. I always had to wake myself up and reassure myself that it’s just a competition. All I had to do was compete how I compete in every other competition. “Are you ready to rumblllllle!” Erin screamed as we walked into the gym for our last practice before regionals. Thank you both for working so hard I know you guys will do great so don’t stress it,” Brittany said as she gave us her signature welcoming and warming smile. It was hard not to love coach Brittany. She was basically my family and truly, would I even be where I was without her? During that practice I worked the hardest I had ever worked before. I couldn’t even tell how bad I was sweating until Brittany started joking about it. I nailed every routine I did and even stuck all of my skills on beam without any falls.
