Have you ever heard of "the shootouts" well I've been in quite a few of them in the many years I've been in soccer. If you have heard of "the shootouts" you know what I mean when I say they're absolutely horrendous!
We were ecstatic! My friend Nyah and I had drove a long way for this, and we weren't about to let our team down. It was a Saturday night, at the Star-fire complex, Nyah and I were there to play our first soccer game of the weekend, we were pumped! so was the rest of our team. The team started with warm ups, and we were looking pretty good preparing to go into our first game. We did all our drills and the team was ready, it was time to start the game, so, we did our chant and all the starters were sent in.

When we got to the Star-fire complex all our teammates were warming up. This game you could tell it was going to go awesome, my team players and I were as electric as lightning bolts screaming through the sky. And just like that it was time to play! This team we played was one of the top teams, but we weren't about to let them win, we played one of our very best games that weekend. We were fast, accurate, quick to think. But, it wasn't enough. Our hope wasn't lost, although we had to go into the toughest thing in soccer for a team, the thing that makes even the mentaly toughest players on the team break down, and if you missed it was like getting all your confidence ripped out of you, it was "the shootouts" they were the worst thing that could happen in a game. It was Nyah's turn BANG! An other goal we still cheered it wasn't over, then Addison one of our best all around players shot but had a terrible touch, barely touched the ball no goal almost all hope was lost but we still had a shot, then Nyah's turn in goal again BANG! An other goal for the other team we still had a small amount of hope, it was Isabelle's turn to shoot BANG! she hit the cross bar we had almost no hope left it was last Nyah's turn in goal, BANG! Goal. and that was it. We had lost in a shoot out. All hope was lost, our girls were crying. But our coaches still congratulated us. But we were confused why, then they said, "you guys played so well, you played your hardest, and shootouts are very tough on the team so don't be ashamed of your selves ." So we got our second
