For a child with an interest in all that is scientific and challenging, who finds himself in the realm of math problems and physics theories, who spent his summer days reading books, and pondering on issues that were way beyond him, it was never an easy decision to become a doctor, as a matter of fact, it was scary. I was always wondering, would I ever enjoy this, would I ever be able to meet patients, ask them questions, measure their pulse, or feel their abdomens? would I have what it takes to hold their hands and console them? tell them that I would do everything possible to make them feel better? Those questions haunted me until the very first day I walked into the pediatric ward. the day where my life took a completely different course,
