Personal Narrative: My Trip To Yakima Pediatrics

I had the opportunity to go to Yakima Pediatrics and follow a nurse. I really enjoyed my experience, as I loved the nurse I followed. She explained everything and really advocated for me. I was able to observe stitched being removed and gave lots of shots, which I was nervous, yet excited about. I actually really liked giving shots to pediatric patient’s as I enjoyed aiding them through this “scary” procedure, as I once felt that same fear. One patient in particular, really reminded me a lot of myself. This patient was 16-year-old patient and was calm, until I was about to give her the shot.
