Personal Narrative: My Daughter Hospitalization

During the time period of my daughter hospitalization I was unsure of what the outcome would be concerning her health and my job. I knew my daughter would need care and it did not matter how long her recovery could take. As her mother I would be there to provide the care she needed for however long she needed it. Also, I decided that I would take measures to build upon my skill-set so I would still be considered an asset when I reentered the workforce.

Once I came to the realization that I needed to build upon my skill-set for whenever I reentered the workforce I enrolled in a medical coding certificate program at an online community college. I chose medical coding as my first program to study because it would build upon the medical billing
