Personal Narrative: My Trip To Florida

Decent Essays
During our vacation, we had just came back from school like a week ago and we needed to ride a plane to Florida. It was the most exciting occurrence in my life because I have never flew by plane before. We needed to leave our house around midnight to we could get to the airport just in time for our flight. We drove to the airport and it took 30 minutes because no-one was on the road at midnight. When we arrived at the airport, we went to department 1 so that we could board our plane. We were just about to miss it when the manager saw us and told the flight attendants to wait. We boarded our plane and I immediately fell asleep, for my dad told me it would be a 5 hour flight to Florida. I woke up the next morning and we were just landing. We needed to ride a taxi so we could get to the Florida Cruise Lines and we were early. We took a restroom break …show more content…
right after this trip and I thought it was too early to be planning now. We boarded the ship and it was huge. The first thing we did was set our stuff in our designated room and we ate lunch at the eloquent buffet. It was really stomach-filling and we decided to go swimming for a bit. I think it was the best day I had in a long time. I played with my friend, Carter, and we played basketball after swimming. The cruise was extremely fun and I really miss it, now that I think about it. I wish I could look back on it and actually appreciate that we went on the cruise. After the week cruise, we took a plane to Washington D.C. and we were all tired. We all wanted to go home, but hey, who hates extra vacation? We arrived at D.C. and decided to stay for a week, just like the cruise, except a bit better. We got to see national monuments, such as the Washington Monument and the White House. It was really amazing and my dad told us to savor the moment, for we may never come back again. I really enjoyed it and when we went home, I was really sad. I had so much fun, I will never forget that

There was no lines for anything because it was so early in the morning and we went through security in less than 5 minutes, now all we had to do was wait for our plane to take off. We sat at our gate for what felt like hours, as we watched many people come to the gate with huge smiles on their faces. I was a little nervous for the flight, but my excitement to land in Aruba was much stronger and overtook my nervousness. We finally boarded and I took my window seat as I usually did. My mom took the aisle seat and my sister sat next to me.…

We boarded the plane from Athens to Frankfurt just fine, we were scheduled to land at about four o’clock or so and we didn’t land until four twenty and that’s when our plane from Frankfurt to the United States was leaving! We still had to go through customs and of course since we were in such a rush they only had one customs person working and plus because of that issue we also lost someone mid customs. We couldn’t find him, we held the plane for at least an hour or so. We ended up finding him and boarding the plane to go back home! That flight sucked, I was in the middle of the middle of the plane and I couldn’t sleep.…

There was a nice lady next to me with her grandson who was five years old. They closed the airplane doors and the pilot, Chesley Sullenberger made an announcement on the speakers “good afternoon ladies and gentlemen we are traveling from New York to Charlotte, North Carolina it is going to be roughly a two hour flight so sit back, relax and enjoy the flight”, he then chuckles but nobody looks like they think that's funny. So we start taking off and the little boy right beside me is playing with his plastic toy cars. Right from the minute we got in the air that it was very bumpy I already felt…

When something unexpected to me, was when me, my dad, and uncle Steve weren’t allowed on the plane. I have no idea why we weren’t allowed on the plane, when the plane was sitting right in front of us and it wasn’t leaving for 10 minutes. The airport service worker said that we would have to get on the next flight to Denver in three hours. We couldn’t go back to Washington, D.C. because the airport was 30 minutes out of the city, and we didn’t want to be stuck in D.C for another couple hours. While sitting at the airport waiting for our next flight, we walked around and looked at the shops that they had in there.…

We were worried we were going to miss the flight. We arrived at the gate just minutes before 12:30 and were relieved to find passengers still boarding. The flight had been delayed twenty minutes, which kept us from missing it. The flight to Paris was a stressful one, hours in the air wondering if my grandmother would be alive when we landed. After we landed at Charles de Gaulle, we had a brief layover before the next flight.…

When we came back my older brother was the only one excited because that meant he could go swimming. We were all so hungry that we ordered room service, while my brothers were in the pool with their friends. As I sat impatiently waiting for the food, I watched all of the cars pass by. I wondered what it would be like to drive, what car I would drive, how fast I would go, where I would go, the possibilities are endless.
