Personal Narrative: Life After Graduation Ceremony

remember after my graduation ceremony my mom asked “So what now?” It was a question that I dreaded hearing because I did not want to go to college right after high school. I wanted to wait a year. And against all of my family’s better judgement I told my mom I was just going to relax. I had a plan. I was going to succeed with what everybody said I wouldn’t. I will come out victorious.
I started the summer like a normal high school graduate. Bonfires, beaches, and a part time job. Then slowly the fall started to come around. I didn’t care too much, I still had my part time job but then my family asked again about college. So naturally I gave in and started school the fall semester at a small community college. That was literally the worst two weeks of my life and I hated my family for talking me into doing something I wasn’t ready for. So of course after certain issues I dropped out. That’s when everything changed for me.

After two weeks this job became a 48 hour a week job and slowly moved up to 56 hour a week job and before I knew it, it was the end of the summer and the deadline for me to start school. I panicked. I was too late to apply anywhere or so I thought. A morning I was contemplating quitting this job that I didn’t want to be at anymore I got a call. It was a call about registering for fall classes.
Then it was my first day of classes. I sat down and my admissions representative called and walked me though the first day. As I wrote my first introduction paragraph I just remember being happy. Tears streamed down my face because I did what everyone in my family told me I wouldn’t. I started
