Having a baby at a young age with no job isn’t something I expected to happen. It all started in 2006 I had just graduated from Jefferson Davis High School. I had just got used to being able to have a little more freedom. Not having to wake up early in the mornings to go to school was lovely. I wanted to have some money to go shopping so I decided I would go look for me a job. I already had a car to get me where I needed to go, just needed a way to keep gas in the car and get money in my pockets. I had decided not to go to college right after high school. I wanted to get a break before I went back to school. However, I did want to make a little more money so I decided to work two jobs. I had a job at Wynlakes Country Club but, wanted another job so I took the offer for dollar tree. I didn’t enjoy Dollar Tree so I decided to resign from that job. After letting the job at Dollar Tree go I just decided I would work at Wynlakes Country Club fulltime. I didn’t stay on jobs as long as I should have. About 4 years ago, I like many people, had a successful job/career that I learned throughout the years without having to attend school. A job well paid for, but extremely stressful. A job that unfortunately made me ill due to the constant stress I had, and from which I retired about 2 years ago. Thus, a job that made me pursue further education, a new career and that challenged my life to do even better. Back then, my goal included attending college and graduating in the healthcare industry.…

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE I wasn’t ready for college after I graduated from high school – I didn’t even now if I wanted to go to college at all. I was always somewhat “sickly” in school – lots of earaches and headaches. My parents took me to the doctors a lot – and I mean a lot – but the doctors could never figure out what was causing the problems. After high school, I wanted a fabulous job, money, independence and to live on my own in Los Angeles (the Big City.)…

This isn’t going to be your typical personal statement. I won’t brag about getting straight A’s and B’s or joining every club in school, considering the fact that I didn’t. I was unlike the array of high school students who dreamed of what colleges they wanted to attend since freshman year. The ones who acquired the perfect grades and became involved with every activity the school offered. For myself, high school wasn’t so simple.…

The first job experiences I have had remain the most influential occasions throughout the entire span of my life. As early as possible, I began to babysit for my cousins and close family friends. Many acquaintances of mine have often complained about babysitting for siblings or any child in general. Of course, this always shocked me, because I never seemed to mind. When I was a younger babysitter, it was never much of a challenge.…
