I excitedly told all of my friends and family about this huge accomplishment. They were all so proud. I imagined working to be somewhat hard, but that the positives would outweigh the negatives. That wasn’t exactly the case. I lost a multiplicity of significant things in an effect of my first job. Some of my closest friends became strangers because I never had time to hang out with them, I was sleep deprived, and I lost valuable family time. These changes impacted my life a lot. I remember many nights when I would cry hot, stress-filled tears. There were countless incidents when I was dying to quit my job; but I persevered. I thought about the great benefits of what I was doing, and that kept me going. …show more content…
I reflected on my life and decided that I needed to work less hours so that I could experience everything I was missing out on. This made a world of a difference. I was now able to hang out with friends and family, complete all of my homework, get enough sleep, and not be so stressed
