PI: Profile Target Customer
Identifying the target market, the group of people who will buy your product, is key in ensuring sales for your business. Knowing your target market will help so the business is not arbitrarily deciding what products to sell, but rather choosing products that it knows will be successful in its own marketplace. The One Stop DECA Shoppe is located in Rogers Minnesota at Rogers High School. The One Stop DECA Shoppe primary target customers are high school students who are looking for Rogers’s apparel to wear to show school spirit. The secondary target customers are parents of Rogers High School students. Parents are often shopping for their students but occasionally will purchase apparel

Demographics refers to the statistics of a populations, the main demographic market for the One Stop DECA Shoppe from the information obtained from the survey was teens, ages 14 to 18, buying snacks and sweatshirts. This was similar to the demographic for the store during the years of 2014-2015. The shop's main goal continues to be keeping the sales in food that is following the Minnesota State High School Health Regulations, and sales in sweatshirts. While also increasing sales in our other products. Which we determine the customer's wants by having a suggestion box located in the front of the One Stop DECA Shoppe.

PI: Determine customer demand for merchandise
Our psychographic market was clearly Rogers High School students or Rogers’s community members with the intention of supporting their city in Rogers apparel. Since Nike is a popular trend in athletics, the DECA Shops store manager's made a goal to increase the amount of Nike apparel available. We added a variety of women’s and men’s quarter zips, full zip sweatshirts, sweatpants, t shirts and long sleeve shirts that were all the Nike brand. This helped reach the goal and helped the store meet the demands of the primary and secondary target markets.
