Macy's and Dillard's are renewing their success in the retailing market. is an American department store chain with 330 stores in 30 states, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. Dillard's is the outgrowth of a department store founded in 1938, 79 years ago. Dillard's carries fashion apparel for women, men, and children as well as accessories, cosmetics, home furnishings, and other consumer goods. Target customer of Dillard's focuses on the middle and upper class consumers. Dillard's also offers a lot of premium luxury prices branded such as Ralph Lauren, Polo, Michael Kors, Levi’s. Dillard’s also has private label clothing, shoes, cosmetics, accessories, and home goods. Comparing to Macy's and Nordstrom's, Dillard's position themselves above Macy's and below Nordstrom's. Dillarl’s brands have better quality than Macy’s even though they may be more expensive they last longer. Dillard's distributes a lot of pricing-mid to upper price range, high-end items and a promotion to discounting price. Their main concentrated locations in Texas and Florida, etc. However, their Southern store flair has spread to these area, Dillard’s has not spread very far in the USA. Psychographic-Dillard’s has many products to cater to their many different kind of customer such as lifestyle, gender, age, etc. Dillard’s carries many products for women, men, kid from jewelry to lingerie, sporting wear, suit for men and baby product care for baby and kid. But the psychographic of all Dillard’s product are contained the images of Southerner in USA. Behavior factor-Dillard’s has really spread very far outside Southern look. Their mains are always focused and stayed their designs such as psychographics of products in comfort zone. That is the best answer to show that why Dillard’s market is mainly located in South and Midwest America. This behavior could be the reason why Dillard’s has not known a lot in West and East coast of America. As well as, all product of Dillard’s advertises are contributes to this behavior
