It is evitable that businesses will always see a change of employees. Mondy (2012) states that “Even when an organization is totally committed to making its environment a good place to work, workers will still resign” (Mondy, 2012, pg.374). Employees leave the organizations where they work for a variety of reasons. When organizations experience a high employee turnover, they need to analyze what the possible causes could be. While they may think that employees are leaving for personal reasons or better pay, there is always the possibility that they are leaving for other reasons that the organization needs to know about so they can try can reduce their turnover rate.
Employees are an essential part of the organization and without employees, organizations are not able to conduct business and earn revenue. Organizations need to make sure that their employees are feeling satisfied with their job and work environment because having a high employee turnover is very costly for the organization. When Isabella contacted the painting supervisor, his response was clearly showed that there was a problem in the department that was causing employees to leave. It seems as though that the supervisor was not treating the employees well and his response shows that is biased against younger workers. To the employees in the painting department, this makes them feel like they are not valued assets to the organization. The supervisors clearly values the older workers more but is forgetting the fact that will retire. If there are no younger workers to replace them, then the organization is at a loss and will not have anyone who to perform the painting departments
