Narrative Essay About Adventure
We took off down the road, turning back now and then to make sure they weren’t following us. All I could hear were the sounds of our uneven breaths and the gravel crunching beneath our feet. We came across a big pile of rocks and I told her,
“Let’s stop behind these rocks, so we have two ways to run.”
We stopped behind the rocks and Rachel looked one way while I looked the other way. From where we were, we could see the outlines of everyone else, so we could tell if they were coming for us. I swore that I saw Nicole look right at us, so I ducked down. I told Rachel my plan. If any of the others came from her side, she would yell and we would both take off in the opposition direction and vice versa. Then, I saw that the lights to the house went on. I was confused that they were looking for us in there because I knew we all said no hiding in the house. All of a sudden, I heard Nicole, April and Alie yelling at us. “Come out now guys, the game is over, this isn’t funny anymore!!” “I hear them calling for us,” I whispered, “Do you think they’re faking?” “I dunno Liz, it sounds like it” Rachel replied. “Maybe we should go an find em now.” I told Rachel. “Let’s just wait a little while longer.” She …show more content…
We were just sitting there unsure of what to do. It slowly got darker and colder out and it was getting harder to see the house. “Did you bring your cell phone?” I questioned Rachel
“No” she said back warily. “Neither did I.” I told her.
I was already starting to get worried that maybe they stopped looking for us and weren’t going to come and get us, but now I was worried because we had no way of contacting them. I was really starting to consider going to find them now because it was getting so dark that I could hardly see the gravel road twenty feet in front of me. “I think we should go look for them now, it’s getting really dark.” I exclaimed
“I dunno what we should do. Maybe they’re just trying to scare us.” Rachel stated as if she was trying to convince herself.
