Cheez-It
I walked into the school doors and it appeared to be a normal day, but it happened to be the exact opposite. Cheez-its are loved by many people, but after this incident we couldn’t ever eat them again.
It all started out when i walked into the classroom and saw the teacher handing out Cheez-its. I thought that was pretty cool that we got to eat Cheez-its in class. I got one and instantly devoured my bag. I wanted more but the teacher didn’t have any more bags. Even though I had eaten the whole bag I felt like I needed more. I was craving them so much. I just couldn’t help myself but to take some from my friend when they weren’t looking. That is exactly what I did. I reached over to take a handful, and I started to chow down on them thinking it was a perfect plan. That’s when my friend turned around and ripped them out of my hands. For some odd reason everyone looked like they were in a trance. Just then, the teacher came in with two huge boxes of Cheez-its.

The lighting was poor except for a furnace in the corner. I realized that i still had my house keys in my pocket. I reached for them, but I couldn’t fit my hands in there. I pulled my hands apart stretching the rope so I could fit my hands in my pocket. I did and it worked! I got my keys and cut the rope. I went to the people in the distance and noticed that they were all students from my school. I cut them free and I found an old rotary phone in the corner. I took it and called 911. We decided to try and get outside. We found keys to the door inside the room and we left. In the distance I could hear sirens. We decided to stay there and see what happened. Whenever the cops came outside, they explained that the criminals inside were on the FBI most wanted list, and they were professional con-men. They made their own Cheez-its and had a special ingredient that made them very addictive. I couldn’t believe that this had happened to

That was until I found a recipe on how to make some chocolate chip cookies and said, “I can totally do this!” an hour and a half later, (yes ... I struggled) and with some guidance of my mother, a batch of cookies popped out of the oven. I was scared at first to let anybody try them because they looked quite horrid, but as soon as the first daredevil, my older brother, tried this twelve-year-old’s cookies he immediately smiled, shoved the remaining cookie into his mouth, and grabbed another two.…

Mr. Hurley (the lunch monitor) finally dismissed us to go to up to the line and get our food, this is the first time we realized something was up, the food. That day's lunch was corn dogs, the meat was so utterly disgusting that most kids just peeled off the buttermilk breading like a band- aid and ate that instead of the meat. Like all 7th grade boys, my friends and I are a little immature, we sometimes play with our food, so us being us I started cutting up, bending, and smashing my corndog. When I had finished mutilating the corndog I found a small piece of metal about 1 centimeter by 1 centimeter, so little you could only find it by chance. I found the metal alarming and wanted to see if it was only mine and to everyone's surprise it was in every single corndog in the entire lunchroom.…

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that an individual child with a desire to gain one Snickers bar, must be prepared to trade no less than three Twix bars. In my household, every bag of fun sized confections was an opportunity for a ridiculous negotiation with a not so ridiculous lesson behind it. When my father loves Snickers just as much as I do, why should he take only one inferior Twix for one Snickers? Critically assessing how much my companion stands to lose versus how much I was willing to pay to get what I want is a skill I have been developing since middle school. Negotiation and debate, human interaction of all kinds have always piqued my interests both academically and recreationally.…

One student says “Usually we go to the student store and I'll buy a bag of Cheetos...or like chips, sometimes a Gatorade, yeah" when asked what they will do when the school lunch doesn’t fill them up enough. This is a problem that is hard to deal with, because having bags of snacks that students can munch on sort of goes back on the whole idea of “healthy lunches” and has the student spending money on top of their bought lunch just to get filled up for the rest of the day. Giving students a healthy option is ideal, but having them eat something that tastes bad and won’t even fill them up doesn’t seem right. There are some arguments that some people can make as to why healthy school lunches are extremely important and why they mustn’t change.…
