My goal in life is to be as successful as possible in the career of my dreams. In the seventh grade, It got to the point where I had to sit myself down and evaluate what future career I would thrive in the most. In elementry school I always wanted to be a teacher, because I wanted to help the next generation of children. However, I realized that I didn’t want to be in one room for almost the whole day. I wanted to be able to enlighten people a different way. Then I started thinking about the medical field and the difference I can impact there. My love for children made me think about becoming a pediatric nurse, but they do not only deal with children, but teenagers also. Being a teenager myself I understand how complicated we can become. So, I decided to go younger in age such a newborn. Neonatal nurses deal with intensive care infants, and I realized the possibility of passings of the young babies that just entered the world, and how hard that could be physically, mentally, and emotionally. So, I thought to myself what could I do that deals with only healthy newborns, and I did some research. I came across a very intriguing profession that I never heard much about, midwifery. A midwife is a person who is trained to assist women before, during, and after low risk pregnancy. They prescribe prescriptions and prenatals, give tips on how to have the healthiest pregnancy possible, do check ups and tests, and then help with delivery.
