I know I am a workaholic and I am trying to get away from this I am learning to delegate and put my foot down, especially saying “No”. I know I have always felt satisfied when I kept doing more and endlessly tiring myself. I know I have been encouraged by my own self to be me, to be straight with people and with my own self; my own wants and feelings rather than crooked and covert. In this manner I am learning to understand what I want and possibly how to get it.…

An accomplishment that i'm very proud of is the way how i grew out of boy and into a man. When i first got into high school i was sort of overwhelmed with trying to fit in. I cared so much of trying to fit in within certain types of people, that I had lost focus on many things especially my grades and school. After noticing a enormous drop off of my grades and myself, I desperately tried to improve myself because i felt like i was disappointing my future self and my family. But because I tried to desperately try to improve myself anyway, I took big steps instead of little steps to help open the door of improvement.…

I didn’t know what I was in for after that day. A writer’s key experiences is what makes them different from other writers and is crucial to their growth as a writer. The writing I composed in Mrs. Heningburg’s class was central to my development as a writer because it made me more confident in my writing and made me more aware of others reading my work as a writer. After hearing my last writing assignment's result in the class, I started expecting a high scoring on my writing works. The compliment about my essay from my sixth-grade teacher changed me, so let's start from the beginning.…

One thing I have learned in life is that not everyone will be similar to me. Other people will most likely have different values, experiences, and perspectives on life. When I was much younger, I dreaded meeting new people who I shared nothing in common. I feared we would not get along and this would lead to problems. However, my exposure to disparate people in sports, school, and work has helped me broaden my horizons and be better prepared to relate to others in the future.…

Everyone remembers learning how to drive, unfortunately my experience wasn 't so pleasant. When you 're learning how to drive you have to focus on traffic, your rear view, as well as your side mirrors, which a first seems like a boat load. I compare this situation to growing as a writer, being that they were both rough experiences. As a high school student, I believe I was an satisfactory writer, considering the highest grade I would make was an eighty. Each time my teacher passed out papers, I had hoped that maybe this time I 'd do better than the last.…
