Model Personal Narrative
I found out that my life was about to change and definitely not

for the better. My school was closing, and beginning in

September, I would be going to P.S. 278. That may not sound

so awful, but here’s the thing—that’s where Clarice Sullivan

was going to school, and Clarice Sullivan was troubel!

Clarice had hounded me for years taunting me about every

little thing. It was a little over a year ago that she had moved

across town and started going to P.S. 278. For one blissful year,

I was able to go to school and not worry that Clarice would

recognized. For a second, I thought it was Clarice, but then I

was standing next to the boy, she was obviously trying to calm

things down.

“He’s so much smaller than you, Regina,” she was saying.

that make you proud?”

Suddenly, the girl who was talking turned around. I could

see her face. It was Clarice! I gasped and she looked up. For a

second, I was nervous, but then she smiled I had never noticed

what a nice smile she had.

She called my name and she grabbed me in a great big hug.

“I’ve been hoping to see you all day!” Then she let go of me

and stepped back, as if she were embarassed. “Sorry, I didn’t

mean to manhandle you,” she mumbled, her face turning red.

“I’m just glad to see you. There’s something I’ve wanted to

tell you.”

At home that evening. I told my parents the amazing story

about how Clarice had become the school protecter. My mother looked smug, and I had to admit she had been

There is nothing greater than helping your grandparents on their large ranch in the middle of Kansas. That was what I was thinking as I hopped on my grandmother Patrice’s horse named Watermelon. My mother told me, my grandparents owned a gigantic ranch, so I instantly wanted to come out and help them and learn about cattle.. They had a bunch of cattle on their farm that they have to care for everyday, so I decided to assist them with caring for their animals. Once I climbed back up on my horse, I rode up to my grandpa Jim, who was waiting for me on his horse.…

I can remember my mother hugging us tightly with tears rolling down her face before letting us on the plane. It was my at the time 8 year old brother, 2 year old sister and I waving goodbye to mommy on Monday September 10th 2001. She cried out, “ see you guys in a few days, I love you!” As we walked on with our book bags my eyes became watery, stomach suddenly tight, and heart pounding. We approached our seats and there was no doubt that I had to let my little brother have the window seat.…

One of the hardest things that I had to do when I was younger was leave my friends, my school, the place that I called home at the time. This memory all started on October 15, 2008, when my parents informed my sister and me that they would be taking jobs in Washington. At the time we were living in Naples, FL. Now this was a big shock for me, I had just found out that I would be moving across the country to a state that I knew nothing about. I would have to make all new friends, be able to fit in with everyone there.…
