He is one of the best running backs to ever step on the field of professional football. Although he is not the best ever, if you combine his off field actions with his talent, you find a great that only comes around once in a life time. He is a great person who touches lives on and off the field. LaDainian Tomlinson (nicknamed LT) was born to give back. "In TCU [his college], he was involved in many organizations devoted to helping others. The ex-linebacker from the Giants. Take note of his initials. They make it to LT, the same as LaDainian Tomlinson. Although they share a nickname, make sure not to confuse the two players. The argument is a tough one that has been going on forever. There is a race for the title of LT and many aspects to compare. As far as off field image, "We know Taylor is not going to fare well here. Taylor's off-the-field life, both during and after his career, is best described as a train wreck. Tomlinson has been widely regarded as one of the best people in the league." (Valentine). Tomlinson won this category by a landslide. As far as legacy goes, "Taylor is in the Hall of Fame, Tomlinson will go to the Hall of Fame. With his ability to throw the ball downfield, accurate on his throws, calm in the pocket, and the ability to run with the ball when pressure comes or no wide receivers are open, no wonder why San Francisco paid him so much. In the last year of his 4 year rookie deal, Garoppolo who was still in New England at the time was asking for a big payday and a starting job. With Tom Brady planning to play for a few more years, after looking at how much he is getting paid, the Patriots did the right thing by trading him for a second round pick rather than let him walk in free agency and get nothing back for him.…

Roger Goodell has a great amount of credibility simply because he is the Commissioner of the National Football League. An example from Goodell’s response letter of his credibility is when he states, “The team’s millions of fans and customers who represent one of America’s most ethnically and geographically diverse fan bases, believe this mascot has a much deeper meaning than what many perceive the term to be.” Goodell is an unbiased commissioner of the National Football League and though there is no given evidence that the Redskins have in fact the most ethnically and geographically diverse fan base, Goodell is so credible that these statements often go unquestioned. Another example of ethos in Goodell’s response is when Goodell said, “The National Football League takes seriously its responsibility to exemplify the values of diversity and inclusion that make our nation great. To that end, assume that we are committed to working with the team, this Caucus and others to continue to reinforce the many positive attributes represented by the team’s name and marks.”…

2017 is an intriguing year for the Redskins for a multitude of reasons. Kirk Cousins now is in the midst of a long-term contract negotiation, his top two wide receivers left via free agency, the Redskins defense is coming off a historically bad season, the new defensive coordinator Greg Manusky along with the team’s new additions is having positive reviews so far this off-season, and the front office is fresh out of a messy divorce with their former general manager Scot McCloughan and made an in-house replacement with Doug Williams under a different title. How would you feel if you were African American, deaf, and living in the twentieth century at the height of segregation? Well that was the reality of a man named Junius Wilson. In the book, Unspeakable The Story of Junius Wilson by Susan Burch and Hannah Joyner it looks into the life of Wilson and the deaf culture during his time. In my opinion, the title of the book says it all, it was truly unspeakable. Junius Wilson was an African American Deaf man who was falsely accused of rape, incarcerated, declared mentally insane and placed in a mental institution, castrated, and forced to do manual labor (Burch and Joyner).…
