Kirk Cousins – Cousins to this point, is financially set either way, whether he leaves or stays. However to knock some of the main criticisms surrounding the quarterback, Cousins must prove that not only did the Redskins make the right decision not breaking the bank to pay Desean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, they will make the right decision paying him once proving he can elevate the play of a younger and inexperienced Redskins receiving core. So Cousins situation is more so proving he’s better than 2016, and better than the great weapons he was afforded his first two years as a starter.
3. Terrelle Pryor Sr. – Pryor is somewhat at a standstill in his career, but not necessarily in a bad way. Contractually, he is on a 1-year deal, also known as the “prove it” deal. Cleveland had offered Pryor a multi-year deal, instead he turned it down thinking he’s worth more than that annually. So taking the 1-year deal here in Washington, with a better situation offensively, he’s banking on his abilities as a 3 year wide out. If his 2017 is similar or even better than his 2016 in Cleveland, the Redskins will be eager to keep Pryor in
