On October 14th the 8th grade class of EMS(Eureka Middle School) went to a production made by professionals. The production was about the short stories we had read the month before. I personally liked the story better and the story and play I am going to compare and contrast is the celebrated jumping frog of Calaveras county.
The story was like the play in many ways however, there were some major differences. Some ways it was alike was how they portrayed the character Jim Smiley. In the book he was a betting man and in the play he was a betting man. In the play they could show that better than in the book.( in my opinion.) Secondly they generally had the same characters. In the play they could show them a little better than in the book.
