I’m tired of remembering”, hannah doesn’t want to remember about the history of the Jews. Another example of the theme family importance and heritage is,”hannah had taken a bullet pen and written a string of numbers on the inside of her arm, hard enough to almost break the skin….she thought it may please grandpa will as much as the new baby did.” she does this because she wants her family to pay attention to her, because she thinks that family is everything. This next paragraph will explain some of the important similarities and why it was right or wrong to keep them the same across the story and the movie. To start off, the most obvious and important difference is the setting which is futuristic and science-fiction-y. This had to be kept the same or else the meaning behind the story and the actual plot itself would mean absolutely nothing. Also, it was essential, in my opinion, that the nursery and the different themes of the nursery were kept the same because, again, the story would have been meaningless if they were to be changed. Aside from the obvious similarities, here is one that, if changed, would have surprisingly not have made the story any different: the names of the characters. It is common knowledge when a movie is being made based off of a book or story that you should keep the character’s names the same so that the observers are not confused.…

The writer of the book showed it greatly when her grandfather screamed at her for not knowing such an important event in world history. The other main theme was that you should always persevere no matter the circumstances. In these stories, Hannah and the others prisoners were persevering even under the horrible conditions. One of the times that this is presented is when Rivka said, “We are all heroes here.” This showed that they were all heroes in the concentration camps just because they constantly fought the Nazis by living.…

They had similar scenes and concepts, however, they did have some minor differences. The most significant of these differences was that the movie showed many scenes from other points of views that were told in the third person while in the novel, it was all from Katniss's point of view and only showed what Katniss experienced. For example, in the movie, there were several scenes of President Snow, the leader of the Panem and Seneca, the Gamemaster. These scenes depicted them talking about Katniss and her actions and allowed you to understand what happened to make the hunger games possible and the darker truth of the dystopian city. In one scene, Seneca and President snow were discussing why they had a winner in the Hunger Games even though those games were a reminder of what happens when rebel against the Capitol.…
