Most of the main parts in the play and movie are similar. The main characters in the movie and play remain the same. They are Scrooge, Mr. Cratchet, Jacob Marley, Fred, Tiny Tim, Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Future. The main idea of the story, be generous and kind to all, and show love to others, was the same in the movie and play.
