Compare And Contrast It's A Wonderful Life And A Christmas Carol

Have you ever wondered what would happen if your life was switched around completely in the blink of an eye? Some would believe that it would make everything better, but they are wrong. In both stories, “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “A Christmas Carol”, the main characters are put in very strange positions in life that will alter the way they see the world, forever. In both narratives, the main characters are very rude and cold-hearted without a care in the world about their family or friends, and by the end of both stories, the main characters have learned their lessons and become very cautious with the things they love and should appreciate. During his visit from the first spirit, he is taught that he has been way too mean to those around him for no reason what-so-ever. Scrooge soon begins to change and wishes that he were kinder to those who are struggling and those close to him. Whilst with the other spirits throughout the story, you can notice a small changes from Scrooges actions and his words, and by the time Scrooge is back in his nice little town, he is a changed man at heart. George Bailey goes through a similar situation in the film “It’s a Wonderful Life”. When George is having rough times making it through life, he wishes he never existed so that his friends and family would not have to worry about him. A while after, George is visited by a spirit that makes his wish come true. George was never born and everything isn't as be planned it would be. No one knows who George Bailey is and this causes him to fret. Soon enough, George learns his lesson and asks that he be remembered again. His wish comes true and he loves his family and friends more than he ever
