During the average workday, how much work do you do alone and how much work do you work on with other people. Your answer could vary depending on your occupation and the line of work you are in. In the article “Importance of Good Teamwork in Urgent Care Services” the author explains the importance of teamwork when someone is working in a medical setting. Although the author focuses on a case study that has to do with a medical patient, the information is not limited to just the medical environment. Communication, accountability, leadership and interaction are all required to have a successful teamwork experience. Communication is a key factor in teamwork. Without communication the other team members wouldn’t know what their roles were, they would know what other team members were responsible for, and someone’s opinion or suggestion on how to proceed might not be heard. Communication issues are responsible for 80% of adverse incidents or near-miss reports in hospitals. Communication, Leadership, Accountability and Interaction all flow together and if one component is missing then the team might not be as strong as they could be. In result, in the medical field, this could have very unfortunate consequences for the patient and their families.

In my article review, I chose the topic Teamwork in Business. I found an article labeled “Importance of Good Teamwork in Urgent Care Services” by Curtis Meier.
