Driving under the influence or while intoxicated is a crime of driving a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or other drugs to a level that does not allow the driver to be capable of driving the vehicle properly. The crime affects much of the population these days but fortunately there are laws that deal with this problems. Impaired driving laws in Ontario were much needed and are appropriate laws that prevent accidents and injuries and save many lives of drivers of all ages every day.The impaired laws in Ontario are uncompromising and are being taken very seriously in order to save thousands of lives including yours at the end of the day. Impaired driving is the single leading criminal cause of death in Canada ( 2012, DUI Statistics ). In order to decrease and stop impaired driving the government of Canada has set out more strict rules not only for Ontario but all over Canada for all the impaired drivers. There is no tolerance for warnings if a impaired driver is caught as it was in the past. Now, if you are caught impaired driving with a blood alcohol concentration level ( BAC ) of 0.05 to 0.08, it is considered the warning level of alcohol in the body you will be charged a $180 administrative monetary fee and a three day licence suspension immediately if it your first time being charged. If you are caught the second time driving within the warning range within 5 years you will be charged with a 7 day roadside suspension, a mandatory alcohol program and a $180 administrative…
