“While we’re thankful to see this number has gone down, that still means that 10,076 families are now left with an empty chair at the dinner table this holiday season... 10,076 people’s loved ones are left with broken hearts” (MADD - Drunk Driving). this is important because this is still decreasing but the the number is still too high. Families are still losing loved ones over bad choices that can be stopped. Since 2006, the year Mothers Against Drunk Driving started, the death total has went down 24%(MADD- Drunk Driving). The death total is still too high, losing over 10,000 people in one year is outrageous. The law of the Blood Alcohol Concentration is way too high and needs to be lowered and we need to add a bigger fine for the people who are drinking and driving.
