Expository Essay Reflection
In that essay, I think I did an overall good job. I followed my writing process and I believe I had good punctuation, grammar, and clarity throughout my writing. I believe that this essay in particular was well-written and is also one of the best essays I have written. In my expository essay, I noticed that I had some difficulty in the following: “clarifying a main idea that satisfies the assignment, developing discussion points that support the clarified main idea, and using supporting details that align with the focus.” Overall, I still did great and explained the way Jane Austin writes. Writing the expository essay wasn’t easy, but I still do think I did a good job on this one, as I also got the best grade on this one. This was still by far the best essay I have done. Looking back at my essays I have got to know my own writing process better. My writing process is unique as I take time to develop my writing. I choose a topic and try to expand on it from there. I brainstorm a lot and figure out what I need to state in your essay. After brainstorming, I try to develop a clear thesis statement, have a concise introduction, good body paragraphs, and make a good conclusion. After I have written my draft, I submit my essay and get a good peer review on it. After I have submitted my essay, I edit it as best as I can and try to make it better. I follow the steps that others have given me to edit my writing and make it better. I try my best to utilize my time and actually take time to edit my papers after I have submitted them into Smarthinking.
