Our company also practices non-discrimination in all aspects of the employee work environment. CES employees should not discriminate against any patients because of their age, race, gender, physical ability, religious belief, sexual orientation and ethnicity gender. The patients should be taken care of to the best of the employee’s ability.
If any employee has an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) problem, they should first discuss the issue with their immediate supervisor, if not handle, then contact the director of CES.
Conflict of Interest
CES employees and management must ensure they use sound judgment with the highest personnel standards of integrity and honesty in all matters affecting CES. Employees should not abuse their position for personnel advantage. Employees may not be affiliated with any other competitors, customers or suppliers without the approval of CES. The reputation and integrity of our company must be protected and this document is meant to ensure quality service. Since CES is a service industry, the specific elements in the Code were chosen to protect our patients as well as our employees. We believed if an employee act with the highest level of ethical standards, the reputation of the company will continue to be successful and the employees can grow and learn.
2. Why is a code of ethics an important part of everyday business from an employer standpoint?
Code of ethics are important to the business because it help the employer defines the behavior for both the management and employees. It protects the business from lawsuits. Requiring employees to read and understand the expectations of the company provides the employer with legal resources. It also gives the managerial staff a guideline on how to discipline the employees without discrediting the company. Without a code of ethics, employer will lose the credibility from the stakeholders, clients and shareholders.
