Community College Observation Report

I chose to attend a community college for three main reasons: affordability, location, and small classes. Right out of high school I started college at a public, four-year college, University of River Falls; I had to drop out a month in due to medical issues. At that time I was unaware that I could make a medical appeal and get a full refund, so when I tried college again I was over a thousand dollars in debt from my first attempt. I’m on disability, so my income is limited and I can’t work that many hours. The location of my current community college, St. Cloud Technical and Community College, is right by most of my doctors, so the location is a great fit for me. My family also lives only a half hour away. The small classes are more personal

    I chose to attend Wor-Wic Community College because of the support system that Wor-Wic has to offer. I applied to the school and attended it while I was injured with a traumatic knee injury and the staff really proved to me that they cared. I had surgery the first week of classes,so I emailed my teacher and they were all understanding and extremely helpful in accommodating to my needs.     Just like me, thousands of international students as well as local students are benefitted by the affordable price, simple requirements for admission, and tremendous options and opportunities of community college.
