Abstract

This research paper will explain the process and reason for a communication plan as it pertains to the success of the Huntsville Plant Project. It was once quoted by, President and CEO of National Semiconductor Corp, Gilbert Amelio that, "Developing excellent communication skills is absolutely essential to effective leadership. The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to transmit a sense of urgency and enthusiasm to others. The information of the time, place, frequency and agenda of the meetings is delivered via email two (2) days prior to each meeting. The status meetings will be held every two (2) weeks on Wednesday and will be used to convey information to all parties the current status of each active area of the project. An information documents is requested to be developed by each individual over a project task to the PM. A paper copy of the project status reports will be submitted to the PM by the project team every Thursday by close of business (COB) so that the status meeting minutes can be updated to reflect items of interest that need to be discussed. Two days prior to each meeting a copy of the meeting notice to attend and the agenda for the meeting will be emailed to all participants. Four days after every meeting a copy of the action item log will be emailed by each active team member to the Administrative Assistant, informing the PM of activities currently in motion and planned actions both for the current and following week and any possible issues they foresee.
