The overall study circumstance does not fit my personalities. Case Western Reserve University is like a “quiet place“ in which everyone focuses a lot on the studying program. It is common to discover the intense atmosphere all around the campus. There is a high competition among the students. Moreover, the on-campus or the off-campus activities are not that popular throughout undergraduate students. Although overwhelming activities would probably grab excessive attention from students and reduce the efficiency and passion for study, appropriate activities would refresh student’s brain and relieve the high academic pressure which is prevalent in this campus. As a result, I decided to transfer to another university which would be suitable for

After election night, and everyday since, the United States of America has been in uncharted waters. With Trumps ascendancy to the highest office in the nation, progressives from coast to coast experienced a collective disorientation. Overnight we have transitioned from a nation passing landmark legislation such as the Affordable Care Act, to egregious court orders banning the passage of those who see America as a shining city on top of the hill. I would first like to thank Frostburg State University for accepting me in their institution and giving me the chance to further my education after my high school scholar years. I have enjoyed my time at Frostburg State University and with hard work I have been able to make the dean’s list and be accepted in the Honors program during the first semester of my freshman year. I hope to continue to work even harder during the second semester and throughout my school career. As a small university, Frostburg has enabled me to benefit from many things, such as the small size classes. Now that I have gotten used to college and life on campus, I believe it is time to continue to push myself to work harder and to attend an institution where I could be academically challenged and can be surrounded by many people who share my profession.…

When the name “Case Western Reserve University” is mentioned, a myriad of subjects come to mind: research, science, engineering, breakthroughs, and technology, to name a few. In our great university, there seems to be a wider appreciation among students for the sciences than for the humanities -- this does not come as a surprise considering that CWRU is primarily a research university, and faculty and students have been conducting magnificent and ground-breaking scientific research for decades. The science, technology, engineering, and mathematics departments are so nationally recognized and prominently discussed that they often overshadow the humanities departments. However, if I could recommend an elective course to my brilliant science and…

Today, June 18th, 2017, marks the last day of my first week of college at Paul Quinn College and I am proud to say, “I survived”. Committing to Paul Quinn was a really big decision for me because this school is a 17 hour drive away from my home in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. I was afraid that I might get homesick or that I would not have the support of my family because I would be so far away from home. Soon, after visiting the Dallas campus, I realized that Paul Quinn was the school for me. This is the school where I will grow as an individual and I have come to that realization in my first week of college through the many conversations with upperclassmen, faculty, alumni and summer bridge students.…

The programs at Iowa State are consistently highly ranked, especially those of complex materials and condensed matter physics where groundbreaking work is being done to improve healthcare accessibility. Transferring to University of Maryland, Baltimore County will allow me to achieve my goals both in educational and personal aspects. The institution has a Biological Sciences degree which allows me, as a soon to be graduate from Hagerstown Community College with an Associate’s in Biology, to pursue and finish the next level of post-secondary education, achieving a Bachelor’s degree. In addition to pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences, UMBC has many clubs and activities to be involved in which will allow me to create new friends and provide a way to network with other students that has the same goals as me. I strongly believe that at my local community college, most of the students and professors don’t share similar ideas and goals as me and was difficult to find and achieve things I want to do after college.
