The Kugelman Honors Program is a unique schooling experience designed to hone a student's skills in fields such as leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills. I’m interested in joining the Honors Program simply because it is a clear goal in my life. To achieve greatness, I believe enrolling as a UWF Honors student is the next step in my school career. The skills taught in the Honors Program, such as Excellence, Skill, and Wisdom, will be used daily for the rest of my career life and beyond. I am particular interested in the communication aspect of this program. Since I was young, I’ve been timid, shy, and particularly introverted. It is one of the biggest barriers in my life, and each small social interaction in my life feels like a hurdle. Although I am slowly getting better, I feel the best way to hone my communication skills and become more outgoing is to participate in the Kugelman Honors Program. Other opportunities are present for Honors students such as special housing, priority registration, and personal advisors. I also find the small class sizes very appealing because that gives me a better chance to get to know my peers so that I can work better with them in group projects. With the perks and benefits such as studying abroad and fieldwork with people of certain careers comes the possibility of a newfound passion. As of now, I am undecided on the career of my choice. But come the beginning of my college career, enrolled in the Kugelman Honors Program, I hope to find my passions through the Honor Programs connections and privileges.
