Being given the opportunity to apply for the University Honors Program at California State University, Long Beach is one of the most prestigious things that has come from my hard work and dedication during my many years of education. If accepted, I am sure that numerous doors will open in my future because of it. In addition to it being helpful for my future, it would aid in my transition from high school to college. Being apart of this program at “The Beach” would help contribute to making my undergraduate experience, particularly with a major in Biomedical Engineering, more straightforward, smooth and most importantly enjoyable.
This program has many benefits that would help any college student possess control of their education. Being efficient in how students’ pick classes, and prepare for the next steps is always important; I believe that this program can help me get there. Being able to major in what I aim to pursue in life is one of the most vital aspects of life. Picking a major such as this one has always been the right choice for me. It has consistently been an important component in my life to choose a path where I can help people such as in a job in the medical field. While medicine proved to be a decent job field for me, as a freshman in high school, I was introduced to new ideas and topics every day; one of these new topics being a class offered called, “Project Lead the Way”. In this class we study many classifications of engineering, which is what introduced me to my major.
