1. I chose to attend Union college because it is a small liberal arts college with engineering. In high school I enjoyed the small community, where everyone gets to know a little about everybody. This not only gave me a reassuring sense of community, but also gave me a sense of importance because in a small community everyone has to make a difference. I also wanted to go to a small engineering school. This way I would get professors who actually teach, and are not too focused on their research. The location also played a huge role in deciding Union college. The school was just far enough to where it is possible to be picked up if I need it, but far enough away so I could get away from home. 2. I would like to be a tour guide because I worked as a tour guide in my high school (Newark Academy). It was fun taking people around the school and showing them why I like the school. Also as a tour guide I was able to learn more about what makes my school great and its history.

3. To me the term commitment means constant loyalty to an organization through mutual respect. In other words, sticking with an organization that both I respect and respects me. In high school I was committed to the lacrosse team. I showed my commitment to the team the usual ways, showing up early and leaving late. However, what shows is only part

I would respond by saying that my favorite thing is the community of Union college. Most college communities don’t manage to get to know people outside their bubble, friend group or major. However, at Union people get to know a majority of the people in their grade and even some upperclassmen. This sense of community is important because I know that I am not just another face in the crowd, I have a name and an identity. My least favorite thing about Union college is the location of the dorms. The dorms, at least the freshman dorms, are on the opposite side of campus as the classes and it is quite a nuisance to get up early and go to an 8:00 AM

What I like best about ULM is how nice the campus is and all that is has to offer while still having the feeling of a small school. Most of the colleges with really nice campuses are huge schools and they are not as easy to navigate as the ULM campus. There are a few reasons why I decided to attend a community college. First, I knew that if went to a community college, my financial aid will cover my tuition and fees. The second reason is that this community college is 15 minutes far away from my home and that really worked for me because I wasn't prepared at that time to leave my family behind. I know that I made the right decision because I'm getting the same education that other colleges and universities offer, but less expensive. The third reason is that I love small classes because I get to have a really good connection with my professors and my classmates and for me that is really important.…

Attending UACCB has benefitted me because it has allowed me to obtain my associates degree in one to two semesters of being out of high school. Being allowed to take these classes while in high school has given me the option to start my career earlier than most kids my age. I have taken 15 college classes, and while I have struggled at times to keep up with having high school and college classes, I have gained so much respect for myself because I have been able to see what I can handle. I have conditioned myself to taking three high school classes with sixteen to seventeen college hours. My college classes have boosted my GPA.…

I think that smaller colleges are better because there are less people and they could have your profession that you want to do in colleges and the professor might be able to help you if you need it.. It is better for me because there are less students and i could get a lot of help if i need it and I don’t like being around large groups of people and people would talk out as much in larger colleges and smaller ones there is much less noise. The smaller colleges are more for me because I don’t do good around large crowds of people and I do better when there is a lot less people and if the professor help me with some stuff that I am not understanding if I don’t get it and the professor would know me because there is not a large amount of people.…

When I think of college, I think of the opportunities I'll gain to access the world. To me, a good citizen is someone who aspires to learn as much as they can about the world, and do as much as they can to connect to the different people that live in this world everyday. Travelling across the world, or even to the next state, allows for a person to have different experiences and have new relationships. These relationships are the foundation of our society, allowing for the spread of knowledge and perspectives. This creates a world where we become more tolerable to other cultures and aren't afraid to try something new.…
