First, let’s start out with some facts about gun violence in the United States. The first facts that will be presented are from an article by the U.S. Department of Justice. This article explores the facts about gun violence and crimes involving guns from 1993-2011. The U.S. Department of Justice states that there were 478,400 fatal and nonfatal crimes committed with firearms.
