Activity 1 – Report on Child Development and Play
1) Infant children begin with a small amount of knowledge and skills. They must learn by interacting with the world around them, learning from their parents or guardians and developing a number of skills and abilities in their own time so they may grow and adapt better as a human. There are different ways a child develops:
• Physical development
-Which involves a child’s use of their motor skills and general movement.
• Cognitive development
-Use of the child’s brain and early thought process.
• Social development
- The connections a child makes with others that enable them to relate to certain knowledge, skills or values.
