Toddler self-regulation skills are less likely to demonstrate behavior problem in preschool because a child will temperament a variety of character traits by doing activity at their level. Using their self-regulation, they will approach or withdrawal from their emotion. I will promote the learning of self-regulation by helping kids work out their emotions making activities that will advance their ability to learn. Example: Joshua want to play the science game float or sink but Joshua was in the stage in his life he cried a lot, so I always put out the game he like the most and tell him if he us his words and stop crying I will let him play.…

The chosen pedagogical approach adult-child interactions is a vital aspect of supporting young children and has been researched for centuries, and still today remains an imperative pedagogical approach to supporting young children. Adult-child interactions are carried out daily within practice, however, are not always utilised effectively and often have an adverse effect on children’s learning. Additionally, practitioners engage in interactions with children, although often do not acknowledge the impact these interactions have on children’s development and the outcome of activities. The current setting utilises adult-child interactions through providing the opportunity to engage in both adult and child-initiated experiences, where adults interact…

Play is part of children's nature, especially playing outside. "We’re not talking about structured play. We’re talking about free unstructured play out of doors." Seslija(2014) explains, which is a counselor for Health and Physical Education in the UK.Outside precisely is the “boundaries” of children,it should be a simple and carefree place(Seslija,2014).However,there is a growing body of evidence, according to Cheryl(2009),that demonstrates children’s experiences to nature have changed significantly in childhood in the past few decades. In addition,“there are strong indicators of an absence of direct experience with the natural world in many children’s everyday lives. ”(Charles,2009)However,as Seslija(2014)argues,it is difficult to see a child plays outside anymore in some suburban areas,“It's a desert.…

The child was climbing and crawling under tables. When the staff attempted to redirect the child, the child’s behaviour escalated where it became a game to him. For instance, a staff member asked him to stop, the child looked at the staff member, waited for her to get closer.…

Personal Philosophy I believe that all children are unique and bring their own knowledge and experiences to any educational environment. I believe the early childhood environment is a place for children to be free agents to; develop, learn, grow and express themselves, while having the confidence and respect they as a person are entitled to. Furthermore I also belie that all children have the right to learn and their learning be abundant with experiences, knowledge and quality, as well as feeling a sense of belonging to their community and learning environment. These beliefs are important to my teaching and my philosophy of early childhood eduction.…

I consider myself to be optimistic about learning, and set that example to the children when introducing a new lesson. When inviting the children to participate I want to remain on task and enthusiastic. A child can learn to model this approach to learning as well. This type of positive modeling can also impact the families of the children as well.…

It is important that play is based on the child’s interests as they will be carrying on playing if they are interested in it. I have learnt this since researching about Reggio Emilia, Reggio believed that children will remain on task if they are interested and motivated in it. It is also important that practitioners work closely with the child’s parents as they are the child’s first educators. This could be done by having meetings with the parents or speaking to them at the end of the day, this will help practitioners to learn more about the child and what their interests are. In my setting, I and other practitioners will speak to the parents at the end of the day and discuss what the child has been up to.…

Learning outside the classroom can be an effective way to enrich the national curriculum in primary schools and provide children with the opportunities to learn in a practical environment away from the classroom (Education and Skills Select Committee, 2005). Learning outdoors involves engaging children through an experiential approach where they can become involved in physical, emotional, spiritual and cognitive experiences which help them to make connections between their learning taking place inside the classroom and the outdoor environment, (Education Scotland, 2011). Waite (2011) highlights the benefits of learning outside the classroom in primary education, stating first that the outdoors can provide a meaningful context which enables…

Additionally, at this age we start teaching them the vocabulary and terms of each new step they learn. At the end of a class we ask the kids to form a straight line and give each one of them a sticker for doing a good…
