Are you okay with killing children? Abortion should not be legal. It is the killing of a small, innocent child. It is a touchy subject, and there are always people for it. I will be persuading you to be Pro-life. There are so many negatives of abortion. It is the murder of a child. Ninety nine percent of all of the abortions in the United States are for convenience. The amount of rape, inscest, and risk to the mother 's life all add up to one percent. Also, the start of life is at conception. To start off, it takes away the right to live. Many people believe abortion is okay before a certain amount of weeks. It is legal in most states at the maximum of twenty-two weeks. They think that it is okay because the baby feels no pain and is not actually life at this point. Let me explain what is developed at what time. As the sperm fertilizes the egg, twenty-three chromosomes from each parent are given to the new organism.The chromosomes are unique and never to be repeated in the same way. Life begins there. At eighteen days, just eighteen days, the child has a heartbeat. At twenty-eight days it has ears, eyes, and a tongue. At thirty days it has grown ten thousand times larger. At eight weeks, every organ is present. At around sixteen weeks, the baby is moving actively. It is kicking and it can be felt by the mother. At twenty weeks the brain has a billion nerve cells, and the baby may jump to react to loud sounds(Baby Developmental Facts). This is the point where it is allowed to abort the child. It is sucking on its thumb, rolling around, and reacting to things outside of the stomach. If a loud, sudden noise occurs, the child can be seen jumping from the sound scaring them. I have already said a few, but am going to go over them again. there are always people that say it is because of rape. The actual amount of abortion because of rape is less that one percent(U.S. Abortion Statistics). That is such a smaller number compared to how many abortions are done for other poor reasons. When people say that it is for rape, they usually are just throwing that out there, and not really knowing the facts. The health of the mother is another thing. That also is part of that one percent. Part of it. Together they do not even add up to one percent of abortions. It is a different situation if the mother is going to die if the child is born. But in my opinion, even then, what is the right choice? Many mothers are willing to sacrifice their lives because their love for their child that still is not yet in the universe is so strong. They will chose to die for their child to live. And finally, one more thing that people will say to convince you that it is okay to kill an innocent baby. They could say that it is the woman’s right to have control over their body. Okay, that is fair, but is it their body? If I am not mistaken it is a whole other human being.
