Pro Life: Pro-Life Vs. Pro Choice

There has been a long existing debate of “Pro-Life” versus “Pro-Choice” about whether or not women should be able to abort a child. Many people being Pro-Choice will use the argument that the fetus isn 't a living person, and rather that it is the woman’s body; therefore the woman’s choice. There are other options women have such as adoption: waiting until the baby is born and providing the child a well-suited family to properly care for them. I believe any way you can avoid aborting a child is better than abortion because you give the child a chance for life. An unborn child in the womb contains all of the characteristics for it to be considered living, proving abortion is morally and scientifically wrong. Abortion, in less harsh terms, is the termination of a pregnancy due to reasons of rape, incest, issues with the mother’s health, or just an unwanted pregnancy. Many believe abortion is simply the murder of an innocent life. Over 56 million unborn children have been aborted; that is 1 abortion every 24 seconds. Many people believe that abortion is morally wrong for many reasons. First, life starts at the moment of conception (the mother and father have created a new life). Second, abortion is also very unsafe for the mother. She can endure not only physical pain, but also emotional pain. Third, it is a natural instinct of humans to preserve or protect life, we should not be killing off our own race. Lastly, abortion is morally wrong from the viewpoint of our Savior, Jesus Christ: abortion is a …show more content…
Women can put their babies up for adoption when they are born. They can choose to have a closed adoption or an open adoption. A closed adoption is when the birth mother will not be in contact with the baby at all, and an open adoption is when the parents allow the birth mother to stay in contact with the baby and see the baby whenever she wants. Women can also think about keeping the baby themselves. Babies cost a lot of money and take a lot of time and care, but raising a child is so rewarding. The mother could also consider their parents or the father’s parents wanting to take care of the baby or helping out as well. You can also put your baby in foster care if you eventually want to care for the baby, just are unable to right now. The baby would stay in a suitable foster home until you are ready or able to be a parent and provide for your baby. In conclusion, the topic of abortion raises a huge argument whether or not the unborn child has the right to live or not. Yeah some mothers might not be suitable to have a baby but, that doesn 't mean you have to kill it. Although abortion may be the only route out if it concerns the health of the mother in some situations, people may argue that abortion should not be the easy way out for those who failed to take responsibility. Until we figure out that abortion should be illegal millions of babies will

Conflicting issues often occur over the subject of abortions and whether or not they should be permitted. Each year between forty and fifty million abortions occur, that 's an estimated 125,000 deaths every day just from abortions. This is a very emotional topic as it deals with the life of a precious baby in which the child 's life is in the hands of its mother who has the option to have the child or kill it before it 's even born. Abortion by definition is defined as “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first twenty-eight weeks of pregnancy.” An abortion isn 't just the death of an unborn baby, it’s murdering a child that will now have no chance to live…

“One in three women will have an abortion by the age of 45.” Meaning around 43% of women in the U.S. population will have an abortion some time in their life. The definition of abortion is “the deliberate termination of a human pregnancy, most often performed during the first 28 weeks of pregnancy.” Therefore, abortion is immoral and unethical because it is the intentional killing of a human being. When people decide to have sex they are taking that risk of pregnancy. Whether protection or birth control was used or not pregnancy is still a chance. Abortion is such a controversial issue in society because although some people are completely against it some people can not choose because they believe women should have…

There are many verses in the bible showing how abortion is wrong. Deuteronomy 30:19 says “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, that you and your children may live”. This verse may not relate directly to abortion, but it shows our purpose in life and shows that we were created with a purpose and a reason in everything that happens to…

There are many reasons on both sides of this issue of why people believe it is or is not okay to have an abortion. Many believe that it is a woman’s right to choose to end her pregnancy or not. The U.S. Supreme Court has declared that it is a right guaranteed by the Constitution. Many would also believe that in choosing to end her pregnancy, she is committing murder, and that although the child is unborn, it is still a living being with the same right to live as its mother.…

Abortion is one of the most controversial and hotly debated topics of this day and age. The reason for this surrounds the idea of whether the induced expulsion of the fetus is murder or rather in the interest of the mother. Pro-life activists debate that all life in the instant of its conception is innocent and deserves a chance at life. God chooses its time of life and death, not the mother. Pro-choice followers often argue in favor of science and the United States Constitutional Ninth Amendment, which holds freedom of choice sacred. The first patient is the mother, and she is the one who allows the pregnancy to happen or not. Personally, I am pro-choice; however, I am not pro-abortion. Pro-abortion zealots believe abortion is right for whatever reason the mother has, and basically acts as a sort contraception. This displays a poor conscience and lack of responsibility. This paper will argue in favor of pro-choice while reinforcing the wrongs of pro-abortion.…

Abortion has been a great topic of debate for many years, both in terms of law/rights and in morality/religion. The constant debate has split people into two sides: Pro-Choice and Pro-Life. Those who are Pro-Choice believe that women have a right to decide the fate of their body, health, and life. They personally may not get an abortion, but they feel that it is still the right of the mother to choose. Abortion prevents unsafe pregnancies, protects women 's right to choose, liberates women from patriarchal control over women 's sexual and reproductive lives, and allows the mother to choose whether, when, and how often to have a child. Pro-Life advocates, on the other hand, believe that abortion goes against moral values, that it is sinful and…

The debate about abortion is one that will never go away until someone takes a stand for life. Yes, I understand that it is the woman’s choice, but the baby doesn’t choose to die. I hope that one day people will understand that the right to life is the most simple, yet important right we…

‘’It is just a blob of tissue, not a baby” (“Pro Life Vs Pro Choice: An Introduction to the Debate’’). Because most abortions are done with in the first trimester or slightly after, it is hard to consider it as killing a living, breathing human being. ‘’Personhood begins after a fetus is able to survive outside of the womb or after birth, not at conception’’ (“Should Abortion Be Legal?”). Out of the seven characteristics of life, five cannot be demonstrated by a fetus within the first trimester if it was to be removed from the womb of the mother. These characterizes of life are as follows: all living things grow, all living things reproduce, all living things have the ability to adapt to their environments, all living things use energy, and all living things have the ability to respond to different stimuli introduced into their environment (“The seven characteristics of life”). If a fetus is removed from the womb, it is cut off from all nutrition or energy that it receives from its mother. Without nutrition, it can no longer thrive, grow, or develop on its own and the only response to any stimuli presented is death. Most abortions save women from gruesome psychological effects due to rape or incest. Forcing a woman to carry and give birth to a child without her consent is bound to cause more psychological harm than the abortion itself (“10 Arguments: For and Against Abortion”). In most fetus fatal abnormalities such as a missing limb can be detected which can result in death shortly before or after the baby is born. Even for those abnormalities that are nonfatal, most mothers are not financially stable to take care of a disabled child and abortions are their best option ("Should Abortion Be…

A woman will have to decide for herself, based on what she believes in, how her life will be with those beliefs, and who she will integrate with her decision. Abortion is not a choice for everyone, however for Pro-choice supporters is the right decision whether it is for convenience or to a woman who was a rape victim and wanted to end the pregnancy. It seems like an easy fix to a life problem that you can 't solve by yourself. If you start thinking about what will happen if abortions were made illegal, consequently a number of women will become injured or sterile as a result of the procedure. People will think that giving the child up for adoption could be the solution but in most cases, this can be very emotionally damaging for the child 's mother. The woman will also have to consider the complications that might happen during the birth, however, these risks are much less likely in…

John states that, “Women should always know that concerned and loving people will always be there for them to help them get through it.”, and he is right, if a woman does not know what to do she can always look for help. Help is all around, it may not be from her family, but there are other people who want to help. People who work with adoption companies are going to be more than happy to take the child, married couples who are not able to have children of their own, and close friends who can help the woman get through everything. Women should also take on the responsibility of allowing the father of their unborn child to be there and be responsible for the child as…

Abortion is a very controversial topic. It refers to the termination of pregnancy by removing the fetus from a mother’s womb. Abortion laws are different in each state. Proponents of abortion argue that every woman has the right to abort her pregnancy and a fetus is not a human until it is born. However, people should remember that life begins as soon as the baby is conceived so aborting a fetus means murdering a baby. Church also preaches against abortion and calls it murder. Since life begins in the womb, therefore women should avoid abortion because abortion is like murder and it has also has harmful consequences on the women’s health and society in general.…
