The Argument Against Abortion

Abortion is a huge problem that has caused a wide range of controversy all over the United States. There are two sides to the problem, which are people who oppose abortion or support it. Abortion becomes a big deal when trying to decide whether a fetus should be considered a human being already when a woman aborts. In my case I believe that a woman should not be able to abort a child inside her unless there is some type of serious medical issue where the child may not come out alive. When a woman aborts a child, they did not want, it is like the killing of another human being who had no say or ever did anything wrong to deserve it. There are other alternative ways a woman has instead of abortion, such as putting the child up for adoption, foster …show more content…
John states that, “Women should always know that concerned and loving people will always be there for them to help them get through it.”, and he is right, if a woman does not know what to do she can always look for help. Help is all around, it may not be from her family, but there are other people who want to help. People who work with adoption companies are going to be more than happy to take the child, married couples who are not able to have children of their own, and close friends who can help the woman get through everything. Women should also take on the responsibility of allowing the father of their unborn child to be there and be responsible for the child as …show more content…
Women tend to get pregnant because either the condom breaks or they do not use one at all. It is safer for a woman who does not want children to go to their gynecologist and ask to be put on birth control. Birth control is the safest protection a woman can have against getting pregnant. There are other types, like an IUD or an injection in the arm, but those may not always work, some women may still get pregnant. In the end a woman will always be safer using birth control. Unless a woman rather only use a condom, she should also use a spermicide when engaging in sexual relations to kill off any

Abortion is a very touchy subject to a lot of people. Sometimes you can't even say the word "abortion" without getting disgusted looks from the people around you or getting a lecture about why it's a good thing. Abortion is not a good thing. Why should an innocent life be taken without even having the ability to defend itself? Why should a living thing be told that it doesn't have feelings or that it doesn't matter?…

Throughout the article Abortion, the Marginalized, and the Vulnerable: A Social Justice Perspective for Reducing Abortion, Steven Tracy struggles with the ever present issues of abortion as well as the social injustice surrounding this debate. Though Tracy aligns with the pro-life political stance, he presents criticisms for both sides of this important and heated debate. On the other hand, Thia Cooper never denies her stance that abortion should be legal, but along the same lines she brings up wrongs committed from both pro-life and pro-choice. Both articles bring to attention some of the faults of both sides of the debate, and both argue that the real problem behind the debate is not whether abortion should or should not be legal. Both articles…

Probably one of the most controversial topics since the earliest of times is abortion. Not only do people bring religion but also science. Many people feel like abortion should be illegal, but personally I strongly disagree. To tell one what they can and can't do by taking the option of abortion yet promote that we are in the "Land of the Free" is nothing but hypocrisy and ignorance at its most absolute form.…

As a doctor, I see an enormous amount of teen and unwanted pregnancies. I also see mothers decide to have a baby with the intentions to raise and take care of the child, but sadly, not all mothers are mature enough to raise a baby, and eventually let another family member take the child. In todays world, women who are considering an abortion are forced to decide in just 24 weeks, and some politicians want to shorten that time or even abolish abortion fully. On the other, there are some people who are “pro-choice” meaning the believe the mother has the choice to abort the baby up to 24 weeks. I know of one case that is personal to me.…

Reproductive rights are the subject of extensive debate in capitol buildings and classrooms alike. In fact, just the other week, a friend and I got into a heated argument over the autonomy of a woman versus that of a fetus. My friend believes that a woman's right to make certain choices- namely abortion- end when fertilization occurs. Conversely, I'm very pro-choice for a variety of reasons. Firstly, I consider myself a feminist and as such value an individual's right to determine their own medical procedures in a higher regard than a fetus.…

Even though condoms are designed to be a safety barrier, birth control does something condoms can never do; Connect to the female anatomy. approximately 10% of 15- to 19-year-old females become pregnant each year an estimated 85% of these pregnancies are unintended(Coyle,2). If anyone is having sex without the intentions of having a child; a sex contraceptive method would be necessary. On May 10, 2015 police officers responded to a 911 call of a mother throwing her child off a bridge over the Leigh River in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania before jumping off the bridge herself. The scene they arrived at was a grizzly sight, and morbid. The child was taken to a nearby hospital before unfortunately passing away a week later. The mother, one 19-year old Johnesha Perry, was charged with attempted homicide. This is a disgusting waste of life, and is one of many acts of Infanticide all over the globe.…

Along with all the problems of our country, abortions are one of the most spoke on topics. The government is indecisive of whether to make it illegal or keep the current standings brought by the Supreme Court case, Roe vs Wade. I understand that we humans; are beings like any other, who repeatedly make mistakes, but I do not agree with the final resort of taking a life because of an avoidable mistake. Our youth should be taught how to prevent the possibility of pregnancy because they aren’t mature enough, financially equip, nor independent enough to take on the title of being a parent. The ones who get pregnant at a young age use abortions as “Plan C” when they don’t think before they act.…

Yeah some mothers might not be suitable to have a baby but, that doesn 't mean you have to kill it. Although abortion may be the only route out if it concerns the health of the mother in some situations, people may argue that abortion should not be the easy way out for those who failed to take responsibility. Until we figure out that abortion should be illegal millions of babies will…

There has been a constant battle in the United States surrounding the controversy of abortion. We have seen Supreme Court cases, public marches, TV shows and other types of media involved in this matter, with different groups of people trying to convey their opinion about what women should or should not do, with everyone defending their different viewpoints. While pro-choice activists support women being able to make decisions about their own bodies and abortion, pro-life activists constantly fight for abortion to be illegal. Women are considered human persons, therefore; they are protected under the civil rights code of the United States to make their own medical decisions to have an abortion as stated in the landmark case of Roe vs. Wade…

Another topic that has been used against pro-choice supporters and abortionists is the topic of abortion being “immoral”. Pro-life supporters talk about the immorality of abortion by saying that it is the murder of babies. On the contrary, abortion is not even remotely close to murder. Murder, by definition, is the act of one human taking away the life of another human. The pregnancy is not a human yet and therefore, cannot be referred to as a human (even abortion doctors refer to the embryo as the pregnancy) which means that abortion is not equal to murder.…
