Pro Life Research Paper

I am pro-choice, but not because I do not value human life, and most certainly not because I hate children. I believe that human life is of the utmost importance, but I also think that women’s rights are essential. It is not inhumane, or unfair for women to seek out an abortion, it is their medical decision, and it is their right to have control over their own body. People state that the mother could simply give the child up for adoption, but that may not be the best option, and there are a number of reasons as to why someone would seek out an abortion. Pregnancies can be extremely costly, and the mother may be unable to afford to keep the child. In addition to this, pregnancies could have complications, and can be especially taxing on the body, or the fetus could have been conceived in a traumatizing manner. Some women may choose to have abortions because the child was conceived through rape, and the thought of keeping the child could be too traumatizing to the mother. An abortion is effectively a medical decision and it should be made between the mother and her doctor. A woman should not be forced to have a child, and it would make little sense for a woman to have a child when they may not be ready. It would be unfair to not only the mother, but the child as well, the child may not receive the level of care that it deserves. Mothers may choose abortion because they are not prepared to have a child, it makes no sense for the mother to be forced into parenthood. After the child is born, the only people that will be there to support it would be its parents, and if the parents are not ready, there will be no way for the child receive the care it
