He was linked to five murders and taunted the police in northern California during 1966 to 1974. In October of 1966 the Zodiac killed a young woman, then in December of 1968 he killed two teens, he also killed another two young women in July and September of 1969, and a middle aged man in October of 1969. The Zodiac was also famous for his anonymous letters to taunt the police.
