Ted Bundy is one of America’s famous serial killers and rapist. He was born on November 24, 1946 in Burlington, Vermont. It’s never been known the exact number of women Ted has killed. His killing spree started in 1974. He would lure his victims into his car pretending to be injured. Women had been disappearing in Utah and Seattle area, where bunding had been residing. Bundy was arrested in 1975 for the kidnapping of Carol DaRonch. Carol was one of the few women to escape from Bundy. He was charged with one to fifteen year jail sentence. Two years later, he was also charged with the death of a Colorado woman. Bundy escaped prison twice, once being free for a year. Bundy’s last murder was a twelve year old girl named Kimberly Leach. She was convicted of killing her two kids Justin Riggs (age 5) and her daughter Shelby Riggs (age 2). Riggs worked as a pharmacist and was a licensed nurse. Riggs stole an anti-depressant, called Elavil, the painkiller morphine, and toxic potassium chloride. Potassium Chloride is used in lethal injection to stop the heart. Riggs gave both kids Elavil (antidepressant) to put them to sleep. She then gave her son undiluted potassium chloride. Justin woke up crying in pain from the burning caused by the chloride. She then proceeded to smother him with a pillow. Riggs then smothered her daughter with a pillow, because the Chloride made them yell. Riggs put both dead children on a bed and covered them with a blanket. She then left a suicide note, took handfuls of Elavil, and injected herself with the potassium chloride. On the next day, Rigg’s mom found Christina lying unconsciously on the floor and took her to the hospital. Rigg’s pleaded for insanity, but during the trial she asked for the death penalty.
