Shakespeare is one of the most famous play writers in history. Although he has written many different genre plays, one can see how it may be easy to compare and also contrast certain characters from each of his plays. For instance, Romeo & Juliet written by Shakespeare is a love story between two young individuals Romeo, and Juliet, who are from the Capulet and the Montague family. Since Juliet is a Capulet, and Romeo is a Montague, they both have to fight to be together because their families are considered enemies; however, just because their families do not get along, Romeo and Juliet still go behind their families ' backs to try to be together. However, many can agree that it is love at first sight due to both of their actions. Romeo falls in love with Juliet the moment he lays his eyes on her at the Capulet feast. Throughout this play, Romeo and Juliet go through many complications to be together. "Juliet: O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo?/ Deny thy father and refuse thy name,/ Or, if thou wilt not , be but sworn my love,/ And I 'll no longer be Capulet" (2.2. 36-39). It is clear that Romeo and Juliet will do anything in their power to be with one another. Juliet is trying to look past the fact that Romeo is a Montague because she is so in love with him and knows him being a family member of that household, her family would never agree to their marriage; since Juliet is a Capulet, they are forbidden to be together. However, Juliet does not care about what her father has to say. Bertram gave Helena certain tasks she had to complete before he would agree to be her husband. Which was: 1) To take his family ring from his finger, and 2) have his child; which this all seems impossible without Bertram actually being a part of it, right? Well, Helena found a way to complete both of those tasks without Bertram even knowing she was part of it. "Bertram: If she, my liege, can make me know this clearly,/ I 'll love her dearly, ever, ever dearly" (5.3.360-361). Bertram agrees to love Helena because she got the ring from his finger, and had his child. However for Romeo and Juliet, is it a little more serious. In order for Romeo and Juliet to be together without any problems, they had to both die.
