How Did Romeo And Juliet Kill Themselves

Many people believe Romeo and Juliet is just a tragic story, or just a romantic story, but it is both. Both Romeo and Juliet fall in love the moment they gaze at one another, they immediately forget about everything else. They have a special bond. Sadly, they can't be together because their families abhor each other. Towards the end of the book, Romeo and Juliet kill themselves because they love each other so much and neither can live without the other in their lives. Romeo and Juliet signifies both a romantic story and a tragedy. Although Romeo and Juliet end up dead, making the story a tragedy, they instantly fell in love at a young age, Romeo says being banished from Verona is like dying, and they kill themselves because they cannot continue their lives without the other a part of it. Romeo sees Juliet at the ball, and the two instantly fall in love, this shows the romantic part of the story. Romeo finally agreed to go to the ball at the Capulet's house. He wasn’t in the mood to go, but his friends wanted him to go and meet another girl. There he spotted Juliet. Once Juliet saw him she couldn't keep her eyes off him, and neither could he. Romeo says “ Here's to my love! [drinks] O true apothecary! Thy drugs are quick. This with a kiss I die.” (Act 5, Scene 3, Lines 119-120.) Juliet grabs Romeo’s dagger “This is thy sheath; there rust, and let me die. [She stabs herself and falls].” (Act 5, Scene 3, Line 170.) Romeo sees Juliet in her grave laying there “dead.” He decides to kill himself with the potion. Juliet awakens and asks where her husband is. Romeo has killed himself because he thought Juliet was dead. After Juliet sees him dead, she grabs Romeo’s dagger and stabs herself. This ends in a tragedy between the two since they did not get to spend the rest of their lives
