The first reason to prove previous statement true is that, the relationship that Romeo and Juliet had was not true love, because they had no time to even get to know one another because they rushed into getting married, in (Act 2 . Scene 2 . 144-148) “Thy purpose marriage, send me word tomorrow, By one that I’ll procure to come to thee, and all my fortunes at thy foot i’ll lay, And follow thee, my lord, throughout the world. ” This quote that was stated by Juliet shows that they were not really in love …show more content…
To prove this, this quote is from (Act five . Scene three . Lines 117-120) Romeo: “ Thou desperate pilot, now at once run on The dashing rocks thy seasick weary bark! Here's to my love! [Drinks], O true apothecary, Thy drugs are quick. Thus with a kiss I die. [Dies.]” This quote is proof of them being foolish because they both killed themselves over each other but they would have gotten along fine if they hadn't of done that because they both could have lived and they could have good lives. This is all proof that Romeo and Juliet were not really in love because they were both too foolish and immature to understand that what they had was not real.
