Romeo And Juliet Rash Decisions Essay

Romeo Montague makes rash decisions and does not consider the consequences of his actions. He declares his love for Juliet and states, “Call me but love, and I’ll be new baptized. Henceforth I never will be Romeo...Alack, there lies more peril in thine eye Than twenty of their swords. Look thou but sweet, And I am proof against their enmity” (Line 75). Romeo would change his name and family in order to be with Juliet, and is willing to die if Juliet does not love him back. Due to his love for Juliet, Romeo is willing to sacrifice himself and change his entire character. Without considering the impacts of his actions, such as how his family would feel and how they would treat him if he left the Montagues, Romeo makes these decisions.
